In 2003 Unity Barn Raisers purchased the old campground on Unity Pond and created a free public access beach for our community. Through partnerships with the Waldo County Soil and Water Conservation District, the Unity
Garden Club, the local Boy Scouts, and Unity College we have been slowly cleaning up this property and creating a demonstration buffer zone for Best Management Practices along a shoreline.
The public is welcome to use the beach, we ask that everyone follow our Beach Rules.
